MILANI Amore Matte Lip Cream

Hi lovelies!

If you haven't heard about matte liquid lipsticks until now, I must say you are living under a rock!

There is a huge hype around liquid lipsticks for more then a year. Almost every brand has it's own line of liquid lipsticks. Kat Von D, Jeffere Star, Colorpop, Kylie Jenner, Mac, Makeup Revolution, etc.

And I became a huge fan of Milani Amore Matte Lip Creams.

I know they came out a few years ago as a limited edition and everyone raved about them. And then a few months back, I found out they just changed the names of the limited colors and added some new one and that they are in permanent line now.  Also about half of the shades are vegan!

When I saw them on Click2chic I flipped.  

They are avalible in 18 different shades in nudes, pinks, reds, orange, purples...everything you would need.

The packaging is squared ''lip gloss container'', with gold lid and gold writings. You can se the shade trough and also have the name of the shade on the side and on the bottom. There is a doe foot applicator which is yute narrow and it huggs my lips perfectly.

There is 6g of product inside.

The scent is sweet like vanilla buttercream, but not owerpowering and it does not stay on the lips.

Darker shades are a bit more tricky to apply but it gets pretty easy when you get used to it.

They dry in a minute to a complete matte finish. On my lips all of the 5 shades I own all survive drinking and eating unless I eat something greasy...I suggest removing it when going to McDonalds haha. And reapplying it after.

It is also kiss proof and waterproof.

I did some swatches on my arm and after 3 minutes I put my arm under running watter and dragged over with fingers for quite a while and the did not budge.

Removing of darker shades is not that easy, I suggest using makeup removing oils to break down the lipstick.

REVIEW: MUA Matte Lipsticks

I will be honest with you, I was not big on lipsticks for quite a long time. My love for lipsticks started when I got these babies :) These are not perfect by any means, but strangely I love them the most out of my whole lipstick "mini collection".

If you like matte lipstick I think you will like these. They are cheap and quite long lasting for the price (around 2 – 3 hours).  The only downside is that you need to use a lip balm first before you apply them, otherwise they can appear a bit chalky (especially totally nude and peachy keen, wild berry has a more creamy texture, I do not know about the preformance of other colours however). They are also a bit more dry than normal lipstick, but again using lip balm can eliminate the dry feeling. I would not recommend these lipsticks to people that have a lot of problems with chalped lips, because these lipsticks tend to cling an emphasize any dry parts on the lips (matte lipsticks usually do that...). They all smell very sweet and fruity. The smell disappeares once you put it on your lips.

The packaging is white with a silver MUA logo print on it. It is not the sturdiest packaging out there, but it can definetly survive a drop or two. There is some extra lipstick on the bottom. I usually do not use these, but they are still a nice edition, because you can see all the colours without opening the lipstick.

I personally bought Peachy Keen, Totally Nude and Wild Berry. At the time I bought these lipsticks Lilac Belle and Fawn Fancy were not out yet and I was not interested in Pouty Pink (I do not like pink lipstick) or Scarlet Siren (At the time I thought I will never wear red lipstick... I was wrong... there is never enough red lipsticks, so I am probably going to buy it some day in the future´)

TOTALLY NUDE: this might be my least favourite colour. It apeary to be the most chalky and dry, but with a bit of balm you can make it work. Overall it is a nice nude colour for everyday use. However it will definetly not suite everybody. It is a true nude, which means it suits only a handfull of people (it does not fit me very well eather, but if I just pat it on my lips with it, to sheer out the natural colour of my lips, I can make it work)

PEACHY KEEN: A lovely pinky peach colour. Appears very nice and  natural on the lips and is also not as chalky as totally nude. I would still recomend putting a lip balm before wearing this lipstick. 

WILD BERRY: My personal favourite. A beautifull dark cherry colour that you can build up into a dark shade or Wear as a sheer berry wash of colour. If you are too shy to wear dark colours, but you would like to try them I definetly recommend this colour.

I must say I was really plesantly surprized when I got them and tried them out. In my oppinion they are worth the price especialy if you like matte lipsticks or just want to try them out. I had no problem using them (however I do not have problems with dry lips). You can find them at  MUA store.

March Favourites ~ Ajda

As you can see i am a little bit hyper at the moment, sushine is giving me too much energy :D

March just flew by, so it's time for March favourites, yaaay!

No weekly adventures today. My week was pretty study oriented. April is aproaching quickly whitch means exams, exams and more exams. So I decided to play a bit with my MUA Ever After - Matte Palette. I do not show it much love since I got MUA Smokin palette.

Products used:
* eyeshadows: Fade, Penny, Chino, Fog, Smoke, Unwrap
* Essence I <3 Stage eyeshadow primer
* Catrice cosmetics Eyebrow Filler
*MUA Extreme Curl Mascara (Black)
* Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil (15 Bling Bling)

 I first primed my eyes using Essence I <3 Stage eyeshadow primer and sweeped Catrice cosmetics Eyebrow Filler trough my brows. After that I applied Fade on the lid and Chio in the crease, witch I topped with Penny. I also applied a bit of Unwrap on my prow pone to help blend the colours.

REVIEW: MUA Ever After - Matte Palette

Hello lovelies :)

I am a big sucker for matte shadows. So ofcourse I bought MUA Ever After palette that is full of matte shades. In this post I am going to review this pallete and try to justify it taking my heart imediatelly.

The palette comes with ten lovely shadows (10 g each) that go as follows:

upper row from left to right:

Unwrap, Butter, Bare, Taffeta, Fade
lower row from left to right:

Penny, Chino, Truffle, Fog, Smoke

Unwrap, Butter, Bare and Taffeta are your usual natural sheer shades that look practicaly the same on me. The first two are light yellow and the second two are light pink. They appear to be the most dusty and sheer on my eyelids witch is to be expected since they are really light shades. I sadly could not swatch those, they just would not show on my skin, but they are great for blending out harsh edges.

Fade, Penny, Chino and Truffle are the brown shades of the pallete. The first two appear to be more yellow based (warm toned) and the second two appear to be more cool toned. I personaly love every one of them. they are great for an everyday look or for a nice brown smoky eye. I also use Penny oor truffle for my brows.

Fog is the blue colour of the palette. I first thought of this colour as an outsider. I mean, what is this stupid blue doing in my palette! But I used it anyway and I must say I was really pleasantly surprized. The pigmentation is amazing and the colour looks nice on the eyelids.

For me no palette is perfect if it does not have a nice matte black shadow in it. Smoke is just that. Aldough it is not the most pigmented black shadow I own (it is more of a brown black than a black), I do like to use it not only on my eyelids but also as a liner.

This palette is something I reach for every day since I got it, since it is really versitile. I use Taffeta or Butter on my eyelid and Fade in the crease (It is a nice "I have something on my eyelids, but not too much" kind of look) and I can easily transform the look into something more smokey for the night. The colours work well together and they blend rather nice. They are on the more dusty side but I can not hold that against them since they are wonderfully pigmented and last all day on me (I use essence I love stage primer).
