I applied Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencil (04 continuous almond) on my lid and blended it up on my browbone, to prime my eyes. after that I applied Wink on my lid and blended it a bit past the crease.

I applied Obsessed on my lid and blended it into Wink, for a seemless transition.

I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag

Hello lovelies :)
I did not do a tag in a while, since I do not really like to do them, but this one seemed interesting and it is drugstore make up related, so I decided to share it with you :)

1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand?
For me definetly Catrice. I feel like they have the best quality for the money and there are more hits than misses in their collection :) The only thing that I do not like is that they change a quarter of their stash once or twice a year. They do bring some new and good products in, but they also discontinuoue some products that are really good. Also I love their nail polishes (the colour range and formula), but I do not like the brush. I hope one day they will change their nail polish brushes.

2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?
Foundation that I mostly love is All Matt Plus by Catrice, especially in the winter months, since the lightest shade (010 Light Beige) really suits me. For my under eye concealer I use Catrice Velvet Finish Concealer with Hyaluron (010 Velvet Ivory) and for my blemishes I use Catrice Camouflage Cream in 010 Ivory., that I mix a bit with the foundation, because Camouflage Cream on it's self is a bit too creamy for my liking. I set everything with Essence All About Matt! translucend fixing compact powder. For my cheeks I like Terra Naturi blushes or Catrice definer blushes and for my lips I like to use Essence longlasting lipsticks or Catrice lipsticks.

3. Least favorite product?
Right now Catrice Prime and Fine Healthy Look Primer and Catrice Fixing Brow Wax. These are not bad products by aany means, but they just do not work for me and I do not get the results I want when using them. I will use them up eventually, but I will definetly not rebuy them.

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
I would say that the Essence I <3 Extreme crazy volume mascara is the best bargain, since it is a really good mascara for a really low price.

5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
Terra Naturi blushes and mono eyeshadows (Matt and metallic). I think the brand as a whole gets a bit overlooked, because some of their products are really bad, but there are a few gems in their collection.

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Matte. I personally do not own any, but from the swatches and what I read on the trusty interwebs I am sure they are not worth the price tag. I think that you can get similar products for a lot less money.

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!
I do not have any to be honest, but I know that a lot of Wet'n'Wild eyeshadow palettes have Mac dupes in them.

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
I do not really have those type of products, because I do not usually buy into the hype. The only time I bought something because of the hype was NYX Butter Glosses and those definetly deserve the hype. Other than that I try to look at all the products objectively, keeping in mind that products that work for others almost never work for me :P

I would really like to see everybody who wants to do this tag. If you do be sure to let me know, since I would like to read it :)

Thank you for reading :)
Have a nice day :)

EOTD: dress me in gold

Hello lovelies :)
Since I am trying to use up my Undress me too palette from MUA there will be probably more eye looks including it on this blog. I really hope you will not het bored of it, since I am really enjoying this palette :) Using it again, I remembered why I liked it soo much in the first place. It has an array of some really beautifull shades that vibe nicely together :) Here is a look I created uzing bronzy and gold colours from this palette :)

PRODUCTS USED:
* Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencil (04 continuous almond)
*MUA Undress me too palette (Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish, Obsessed)
*Catrice Lash Extension volume mascara
*Essence longlasting eye oencil (15 Bling Bling)

I primed my lid using Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencil in 04 continuous almond and applied Devotion all over my lid, leavin a bit of the inner corner and outer corner clean.

After that I applied Fiery into the outer third of my lid and blended it a bit into the crease.

I used Lavish in the outer half of the crease and on the very outer corner of the lid, after that I applied Shy in the inner corner and Naked on the browbone.

I used Lavish on the outer half of my lower lash line and applied Fiery all along the lower lash line, blending it into Lavish and smoking it out a bit.

I finished the look with a bit of Obsessed pushed into the upper lash line and two coats of Catrice Lash Extension volume mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

I really like hoe the look turned out, I hope you do too :) Do you like wearing gold and bronze shades on your eyes?
Thank you for reading :)

Product showdown: Catrice velvet finish concealer vs. essence stay all day concealer

Hello lovelies :)
It has been quite some time since I compared two products and since I got the Catrice concealer back in october this comparison has been on my mind. These two concealers look quite similar at first, but there are some key points where they are different. Here is what I found when I was using both of these concealers.

PACKAGING
Both concealers come in a transparent plastic packaging. Catrice concealer packaging seems a bit sturdier, but both are really nice and travel friendly. There is 7ml / 0.23fl.oz in the Essence one and 5ml / 0.16 fl. oz in the Catrice one.

Winner: both

APPLICATOR
Both concealers come with a doe foot applicator, that is nicely cut and easy to use. The Catrice one is just a tiny bit wider, but they are both the same lenght and angle.

Winner: both

COLOUR RANGE
The Essence concealers come in two colours, one a bit more yellowish and one a bit more pinkish. Both shades are quite fair. Catrice concealers come in 3 colours, that also have different undertones and depth to them.

Winner: Catrice

FORMULA & LONGEVITY
Essence has a bit of a thinner formula, but it is quite opaque nonedeless. Catrice concealer has a bit more of a creamier consistency and is more pigmented than the Essence concealer. Both creep into the fine lines on my under eye area, but Essence concealer looks a lot more obvious than the Catrice one and it also does not last as long.

Winner: Catrice

Catrice is the winner in this showdown, aldough the Essence concealer is still a nice and cheap alternative.
What do you think about those two concealers? Which one do you prefer?
Thank you for reading :)
Have a nice day :)

REVIEW: Wet'n'Wild Blue Had Me At Hello eyeshadow palette

Hello lovelies :)
I have got this palette back in September, for myself as a birthday present and I can not believe I did not review it yet. I love my Petal Pusher palette, because it is full of purples, but I fell in love with Blue Had Me At Hello when I saw it in person. It has such beautifull shades and the quality is awesome too :) Here is what I think about this palette:

This palette comes in a standard Wet'n'Wild palette packaging, that is slim plastic packaging. It does feel a bit cheap but it should survive a bit of traveling. There is 8.5g / 0.3 oz. of product total in this palette and there are 8 eyeshadows.

The formula of these eyeshadows is really good. All are nice and opaque. there is only one matt eyeshadow in the palette, all the other eyeshadows are shimmery. There is a bit of fallout with all the shades, mostly glitter, the fallout is more visible with the darker shades. These did not fade on my lids but they did crease a little after 9 hours. They blend nicely, are not powdery and do not go patchy on the lids.

Browbone 1: A white shimmery eyeshadow that has the biggest chunks of glitter in this palette, needs a bit of work to get fully opaque.

Browbone 2: A light blue colour that is surprizingly opaque. Has more of a satin finish than a pure glittery finish.

Eyelid 1: A silver colour with small shimmer. It is really opaque and a really unique colour that I am glad they included, since it offers more posibilities with the eye make up.

Eyelid 2: A vivid blue colour with a bit of green mixed in. It has small bluse shimmer in it.

Crease 1: A blackened blue with dark blue shimmer in it. It appears more dark on the swatch than it does on the lids.

Crease 2: A dark blue colour with small silver sparkle in it.

Definer 1: A matt black colour that is really pigmented.

Definer 2: Another black, this time it has some small silver shimmer in it.

All in all I really like this palette, aldough I think that two blacks in one palette are not necessary, since there are enough dark colours already. a darker silver, grey or another blue would be much better in my oppinion.

Do you have any Wet'n'Wild palettes? Which one is your favourite?
Have a nice day ;)

Best of beauty 2014 - Tjaša

Hello lovelies :)
Me and Ajda did the best of beauty post at the beginning of 2014 and it is time for the best of beauty in 2014 :) I can not believe how quick the year 2014 went by, I have a feeling that we just started blogging, but it is already a year since we started! I hope we will continuoe on this part, since I really enjoyed writing and talking about all the make up products.

EYESHADOW PRIMER:

Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencil in 04 Continuous Almond: Aldough this is ment to be an eyeshadow pencil I really like to use it on myeyelids as a base for my eyeshadows. It glides on nice and opaque, blends out nicely and sets. When I use this as a base my eyeshadows are going to last for a whole day, no matter the brand.

EOTD: Christmas dinner with Al Burgundy

Hello lovelies :)
It is Christmaaaaaaaas!
Me and my boyfriend are going to have a dinner with my family, as we do every year on Christmas Eve and I decided to share the make up I am going to wear today :) I did not know what to wear, the only think I knew is that I would like to wear Al Burgundy, since it is such a beautifull shade. Here is what I came up with :)

PRODUCTS USED:
*Jordana 12hr made to last eyeshadow pencil in 04 continuous almond
*Catrice matt velvet eyeshadows in 01 Vanillaty Fair, 030 Jump Up And Brown and 040 Al Burgundy
*MUA Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette (Devotion and Shy)
*Catrice Lash Extension Volume Mascara
*Catrice Liquid Liner in 010 Dating Joe Black

I used Jordana 12hr made to last eyeshadow pencil in 04 continuous almond as a base for my eyeshadows all ower my eyelid up to the brow and applied Al Burgundy all over my lid.

After that I applied Jump Up and Brown into the crease and blended it out.

I used Vanillaty Fair on my browbone, Shy on the inner corner of my eyes and Devotion on the middle of the lid to add a bit of sparkle.

I finished the look with Catrice Liquid Liner in 010 Dating Joe Black and applied two coats of Catrice Lash Extension Volume Mascara on the upper lashes and a coat on the lower lashes.

What make up will you be wearing today? How will you spend your Christmas eve?
Have a nice day and Merry Christmas :)
