REVIEW: Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette

Hello lovelies :D

I had bad experience with Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes in the past, so I decided not to buy them anymore, but when I saw the iconic pro 2 palette I decided to make an exception, hoping that it won't be a kick in the dark. I am happy to report that this palette more than exceeded my expectations :D

The shades come in a big black plastic packaging, that is quite sturdy and easy to travel with. The lid is matte black with golden lettering and the back is shiny black plastic with a sticker. Te palette has a nice big mirror and a dual ended brush included. The blush is black and sintetic, one side has a fluffy blending brush on it and another a standard eyeshadow brush. It feels soft and is handy for creating looks on the go.

There is a wide variety of eyeshadows in this palette, 8 matte and 8 shimmery, ranging from light brow highlights to dark smokey colours. I must say I am really happy with the array of colours, since you can basically do every look imaginable with just this one palette. All of them are nicely pigmented and blend nicely. The darker colours have a bit of fallout and matte eyeshadows are a tad bit powdery, but this is to be expected and to be honest it is not such a big setback, considering how many low-end and high-end eyeshadows have fallout. The main thing I search in an eyeshadow is pigmentation and longevity and this palette has plenty of both.The colours did not fade on my oily lids troughout the day and lasted more than 10 hours without creasing.

REVIEW: Essence Nauti Girl Nail Polish - 02 OH CAPITAN, MY CAPITAN

 Hello lovelies :D

Essence recently came out with their new collection called Nauty Girl, that just screams summer to me. I must say that the whole collection looks quite appealing, but I decided to take just this one nail polish to start with.

The nail polish comes in a square glass packaging with a white plastic lid. The packaging sturdy and would probably survive a fall, aldough throwing your nail polish to the ground is not advisable. There is 11ml/0.37fl.oz, which is a bit more than normal. The square lid feels nicely in the hands and the nail polish application is quite easy, thanks to the flat, straight cut, fluffy brush.

There are total of four nail polish colours in the collection (nude, red and two blues). 02 oh capitan, my capitan is a medium blue colour with creamy formula. It is almost opaque in one thicker coat or two thinner coats, the finish is on the glossier side, but it fades a bit with wear. It dries quickly on the nails and it lasted for about 2 days on my nails without any top coat, after that it did not chip, but it did start to rubb of my nail tips.

All in all I am really happy with this nail polish. I kinda wish all their nail polishes would come in square bottles, because they are soo easy to store :D

REVIEW: Sun Dance Lippen Balsam SPF 30

I buy lip balms quite a lot, but not because I like them soo much... I buy them because I am constantly loosing them everywhere... one day it is in my pocket, the next day I find it under my boyfriends couch (seriously! I have no idea how it got there...). Well I finally found one that I really like, so I can only hope that for the first time in the history I will finish a lip balm before I loose it forever (and find it again when it is already gone bad...)

This lip balm comes in a bright yellow plastic tube with a plastic yellow lid. It has a standard slanted applicator with a hole in the middle where the product comes out. There is 10 ml of product in the tube.

The formula is quite thick but it goes nicely on the lips, soaks into them quickly and it makes them soft and nurished. Aldough the balm looks white it goes completely translucent on the lips (aldough it can appear white if applied too much). Did I mention that it smells like coconut and vanilla? No? Well it does and it is the best smell in the world. It does not taste or smell when on the lips, but it smells really nicely in the tube. It also has SPF 30 which is one of the two reasons (the other one being the smell), that I got it. I used it under some lip products (Essence and Catrice lipsticks and lipliners) and as long as the lip products are not emolient and really hydrating this balm works nicely as a base.

Can't Wait To Try - Catrice fall/winter 2015 products

Hello lovelies :D

Recently the good folk from Catrice cosmetics released the list of fall/winter 2015 products (click here) that will be available at the drugstore. They switch some old items with new every year and every year there is at least something that catches my eye, but this year... This year my wallet needs to brace itself and hold on tight, because a spending spree is coming and I have a feeling there will be no survivors. 

SHINE APPEAL FLUID LIPSTICKS - 060 Marry Berry, 010 To Be ContiNUDEd, 070 Better Make A Mauve, 120 Nude-Tritious

I am a big lover of liquid lipsticks, moreso than standard formula. Something about them jus appeals to me soo much :) I fill try only one shade at first (probably a more nude one), but if it turns out that these are really good I will definetly get all of the colours listed abowe.

BEAUTIFYING LIP SMOOTHER - 050 Frozen Yoghurt, 060 Blackberry Muffin

I love these for every day use and I was definetly happy to see that they will come out with three more colours. Out of the three Frozen Yoghurt and Blackberry Muffin speak to me the most and considering the colours and my love for this product in general I just can not pass them up.

MULTI MATT BLUSH - 020 La-Lavender

Colours like these are right up my alley and seeing a colour like that in the blush form makes my heart skip a beat. I can not wait to see this product in person.

HIGHLIGHTING POWDER - 020 Champagne Champaign

A girl never has enough glow. I will pass on a pink highlight any day, but golden highlights really make my knees weak.

DEFINING BLUSH - 045 Lilactric

I am always telling myself that I have more than enough blushes... and then Lilactric comes around and my dreams about not buying blushes are shattered. I love the defining blushes formula and this is the colour I do not have in my collection. Do I need to say more?

DELUXE TRIO EYESHADOW- 030 Rose Vintouch

This one is a no brainer for me. I love eyeshadows and I love purple. The day I pass up a purple eyeshadow palette is the day hell freezes.

ULTIMATE STAY LIPSTICK - 130 Rusty's Gold & Treasure

This colour sounds really interesting to me, so I plan to atleast check it out. If I like the colour enough I will definetly get it, since I really like the formula of these lipsticks.

PURE BRILLIANTS COLOUR LIP BALM - 030 Plum-up The Volume

When it comes to lip products I love tinted balms in a chubby stick form the most. Mix that with a plummy colour and we have a definite winner in my book.

LIQUID METAL - 090 I'll Be Right Black

I have been itching to try a gel eyeliner in a pencil form for quite some time and I feel like the time has finally come. I will run out of my Essence black eyeliner pencil quite soon, so I need something to replace it.

EYE'MATIC EYEPOWDER PEN - 010 West White Story, 060 Lavender McQueen

These eyepowder pens sound really interesting to me and I can not wait to see them in person and try them out. The only fear I have is that these would be too shimmery.

Ofcourse this can change, considering I did not see these products in person just yet aldough I am sure at least half of these items will get into my shopping bag sooner or later. I am probably so happy about this collection because it is mainly colours I like to wear, which is plum/purple and nude. I am all about these colours no matter the season.

REVIEW: Milani baked blushes - Luminoso, Fantastico Mauve

Hello lovelies :)

Recently I have been on a blush haitus, I do not know what got into me, but I really started to love blush and I wear it everyday (unless I really do not have time). I wanted to pick up these blushes for the longest time, so I finally spoiled myself with these two beauties in May.

Blushes come in a round plastic compact that is gold and has a transparent lid, so you can see the blush. The packaging feels a bit cheap and flimsy, because it has two compartments, one for the blush and one for the mirror and a small brush that comes with it. While I really like the thought behind it, since it enables reapplying the blush on the go, it makes the packaging less sturdy than it would otherwise be. There is 3.5g/0.12oz. of product, which is, considering the insane pigmentation of these product, quite enough.

Both blushes have a baked formula. They kick up a bit of powder, when you dip a brush in them, but otherwise they are superb. My biggest fear is breaking or shattering them, since in my eyes baked things are always more fragile, but so far I had no problems with that. Luminoso already met with the floor in my bedroom and it survived the encounter just fine :)

05 Luminoso is a orange blush with small golden micro glitter infused in it. It gives a really nice natural shine to the cheeks.

07 Fantastico Mauve is a berry/plumish/mauve shade (yes I am the best at describing colour... I know), with slightly bigger golden glitter in it.

Both blushes are insanely pigmented, especially Fantastico Mauve. You need to dip into the blush only once and you have more than enough to cover both cheeks. You can build and blend both of the colours without thefear of patchynessand they last the whole day on my oily cheeks. Both give a really nice luminous feel to the cheeks without looking too glitery.

You can get these on Destination Pretty for 11,35 € (Luminoso) or 8,48 € (every other colour), there are currently 10 colours available ranging from pinkish to bronze and everything in between.

I did not write a new in post in quite some time, since I was not buying as much products untill this month. I am planning to write reviews on this products in the future, but so far I can say that I am happy with all of the products I got in May :D

MILANI BAKED BLUSHES - FANTASTICO MAUVE & LUMINOSO

I fell in love with these two blushes the first time I swatched them and now I can not use any other blush. They are a bit powdery  but the colours are beautifull and they are pigmented as hell. I got them on Destination Pretty.

ALVERDE AUGENBRAUENGEL

I just picked this up recently because I ran out of both eyebrow gels. It has a nice small brush and is really strong, but it smells kinda funny and not pleasant at all.

PAULA'S CHOICE CLEAR PORE NORMALIZING CLEANSER & ANTI-REDNESS EXFOLIATING SOLUTION

I finally got some goodies from Paula's Choice and I must say that I am not disappointed. I am probably going to write more about these product in a future review, since I need to try them put a bit more, but so far I really like both of them and I must say that my skin already looks nicer and healthier.

KEUNE ULTRA MILD ANTI DANDRUFF SHAMPOO

I have big problems with dandruff since I can remember and I could never find a good shampoo... untill now. I still get a bit of dandruff sometimes, but my scalp is not itchy anymore and there is noticably less dandruff.

AFRODITA SUN CARE ANTI-AGE SUN FACE CREAM SPF 25

My favourite face sun cream. I am already working trough the second tube :D I use it almost every day and in addition to protecting my face from sun it also makes my skin soft and it has really good ingredients.

SUN DANCE LIPPEN BALSAM SPF 30

I fell in love with this lip balm upon first application.it smells like coconut and vanilla and feels really nice on the lips. I might write a review about it in the future.

SUN DANCE ALOE VERA APRES GEL

I am quite on the fence about this product. On one hand it mosturizes my skin nicely, but on another hand I really do not like the smell and ingredients. I might finish this but I will probably not repourchase it.

NYX BUTTER GLOSS - DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE

I fell in love with NYX butter glosses quite some time ago and since then I really wanted to have this colour. I was recently browsing Destination Pretty and saw that they have it, so ofcourse I jumpet from joy and bought it imediatelly. I am not disappointed one bit, it is pigmented, feels nice on the lips and looks good applied opaque or sheered out.
