NEW IN: October

Hello lovelies :)
Fun fact: I actually did not plan to write a new in post this month since I did not feel like shopping. I wanted to write a favourites post instead. Since me and Ajda were invited to a Essence & Catrice event and got some goodies there I decided to share them with you alongside with a few products I got. I probably forgot to include some things but oh well.

I got into some nail art lately and I decided to pick up some stickers for nail art. I do not know what it is, I got a sudden urge to do nail art since my nails are a bit longer. I did try to use some of these already and I really like them, but they are very delicate.

Most disappointing products #1

Hello lovelies :)
I usually write about products that I like, but there is no denying that there are also some products that are rubbish. I decided to write about these before I throw them away, since I will not use these products and I can not give them to anybody because they are soo bad.

Makeup revolution defence anti bacterial serum and primer
This serum/primer did nothing for me. It did not work as a primer, since it is too creamy for my skin and it actually made my foundation look worse. As a skin care product it broke me out and made my skin oily really quickly.

MUA bronzer in shade2
This product has a really nice texture, I like the formula of it very much, but this shade is really orange. I heard that shade 3 is better (not orange), but this shade looks more like an orange eyeshadow than a bronzer.

Essence all in one BB cream in shade 01 universal
This BB cream promises many things, but deliveres none. It feels oily on my skin and oxidizes like crazy on my skin. This shade is not universal unles you are an oompa loompa. It also broke me put like crazy.

Makeup revolution redempton palette matte brights
There is nothing good to write about this palette. It is not pigmented and hard to work with. All of the shades developed a hard surface so they are not even usable anymore and it creases on me after 2 hours. It is really a shame because the colours are beautifull. I did a review of this palette here.

Balea dunkle flecken aufheller
This product is suppose to help you get rid of any dark scars on your face. Well it did not work one bit! It made my skin irritated as hell and it made me break out. My skin hurt every time I wanted to say something or smile, because of the irritation. I do not recommend this product at all.

Kardashian enjoystick in sea coral
While this is not a total flop for me, it is not worth the money eather. I do not like the formula of this lipstick one bit, I actually think that Essence lipstick have superiour formula and keep in mind that you can get 6 Essence lipsticks for a price of one Enjoystick. The colour is beautiful, but the formula is too dry and it does not last at all. I wrote a review of this product here.

MUA lip boom in ok.com
The shade of this lipstick lip gloss combination is really nice, and this is where all the good things about this product end. Lipstick is too dry, does not last on my lips and emphasizes any dry parts on my lips. Do not get me even started with the scent. It is a really strong vanilla scent that makes me sick as hell. Even if this lipstick was good, I could not wear it because of the strong scent. The gloss is a really niced colour with gold glitter, but the texture of the gloss is too thin, so xou can feel the gliter on your lips.

That are all of the products soo far, do you have any products that you do not like?
Have a nice day ;)

REVIEW: Catrice Illuminating Blush (020 Coral Me Maybe & 030 Kiss me Ken)

Hello lovelies :)
I did not do a review in a while and I had these babies laying around for quite some time so I decided it is finally time to review them. I am talking about Catrice Illuminating Blushes. These blushes come in three shades: 010 I Am Nuts About You, 020 Coral Me Maybe and 030 Kiss Me Ken. I got the last two because I thought I would not use the first colour, but to be honest now I think I should have gotten all of the colours. Oh well, you live you learn.

Packaging is round, transparent plastic with a silver print on the lid. As with all of the catrice packaging the print will rubb off after some time, but to be honest I have come to expect this and it does not bother me anymore, but beware of this if it bothers you. There is 4.5g/0.15 oz. of product in the pan.

What Catrice says about these blushes:
The Illuminating Blush combines two different colour-intensities with a subtle shimmer and a light pearl. This accentuates the cheekbone as well as giving your complexion definition and a soft glow. The 3D diamond pattern in a Chesterfield design is absolutely eye-catching. Available in a total of three colour combinations.

020 Coral Me Maybe is a mix of pechy, coraly, pinky shades with small gold shimmer and 030 Kiss Me Ken is a light to medium purple with a hint of pink which also has some gold shimmer. Both of the blushes are quite pigmented, but still look nice and natural on the cheeks, especially Coral Me Maybe. All the glitter from the pan transfers quite nicely, giving the cheeks some nice shine without looking too glittery. Both of the shades lasted on me troughout the whole day, there was a bit of fading, but they did not get patchy while fading. They also appy and blend nicely and can be layered so you can go as light or as intense as you would like.

All in all I think these blushes are really nice, especially Coral Me Maybe, which gives a really nice natural flush to the cheeks and Kiss Me Kenn is just such a nice fall blush colour in my oppinion :)

What do you think of these? Did you already try Catrice illuminating blushes?

Have a nice day ;)

NOTD: Kitty water decals

Hello lovelies :)
recently me and Ajda recieved a surprise package from the Born Pretty store. We were quite surprized, since we forgot everything about it, because it was send almost two months ago. In the package were two packs of water decals, one for each of us. Today I decided to share with you my mannicure using these pretty black kitties and my new favourite nail polish from Zoya called Snow White.

Used:
-Micro Cell 2000 nail wonder
-Zoya Snow White
- Catrice 30 Lilactric
-Catrice Colour Brightening Base coat

You can get these water decals here

First I used Snow White as my main colour and patted a bit of Lilactric on the ends of my nails to create a bit of a gradient. After that I used water decals on my middle and ring finger. I do quite like using these, but they can be hard to apply at first, especially if you are not used to sticking stuff on your nails. I ruined one of the decals because I did not apply it the right way. Once you mess these up your only chance is to remove everything with a nail polish remover and start from scratch (or scratching the water decal from your nail and ruining the nail polish underneath). So applying these can be quite a challenge for somebody as sloppy as me :P I do like the final look of it though.

I quite like this mannicure :) What do you think? Do you use water decals?
Have a nice day ;)

My top 10 nail polishes for fall

Hello lovelies :)
I always ask myself why am I doing these kinds of posts... I am a firm believer that you can always wear whatever colour nail polish (or make up) you want no matter what time of the year it is. But I do find myself using some colours more and some less depending on the time of the year. I guess that is how it goes with everybody. So today I want to share my top ten picks for this fall, some are kinda random, others predictable, but I like them all no matter what :)

REVIEW: Essence matte lipsticks (14 Adorable Matt & 15 Oh So Matt)

Hello lovelies :)
When I found out that Essence is coming out with two matte lipsticks I almost did a back flip, because I was soo happy. Matte lipsticks are my favourite and I could not wait to try them out! They came out with two shades called 14 Adorable Matt (red) and 15 Oh So Matt (nude). I got both aldough to be honest I do not need more red lipsticks, I am literally bathing in them and I should really start using them more.

Both of these lipsticks come in a standard Essence lipstick tube that is black with the ring in the middle that is the same colour ad the lipstick. On the bottom of the packaging is also a sticker with the name of the lipstick written on it. Each tube has 3.8g/0.13oz of product in it.

When it comes to their formula I feel like they both come from two different planets. Adorable Matt is really smooth, opaque and does not really feel like a matte lipstick, when applied to the lips, it is not drying. On the other hand, Oh So Matt is a totaly different story, while not dry and chalky by any means, it is not really smooth eather, it is also less pigmented and harder to get nice and even in my experience, it is also less comfortable to wear. Oh So Matt also emphasizes any dry parts and other imperfections on my lips (like those pesky lip "wrinkles"). Do I even want to talk about longevity? Adorable Matt stayed nice and put on my lips for about 3-4 hours with minimal drinking or eating and it fades out nice and even, leaving a stain behind. Oh So Matt is it's polar opposite, it disappeared of my lips in about an hour, leaving nothing behind, which is really a shame because I like the colour, but I do not have the time to apply it every hour. None of these are true mattes in my oppinion, they appear to be more like a semi-matte finish on the lips.

It saddens me to say this, but I do not think Oh So Matt is worth it. If it would be more like Adorable Matt, it would definetly be my go to shade for every day (paired with a nice lip liner, just imagine the possibilities!), but the formula just left me disappointed. If you like red lipsticks and you can't get enough of them, then I recommend you to get Adorable Matt. Both lipsticks are available in Muller, Tuš drogerija or Dm for 2,49.

What do you think? Did you try any of these?
Hope you enjoyed reading this post :)
Have a nice day ;)

Cosnova beauty bloggers event 2014

Hello lovelies :)
My oh my, was the 15th October a day to remember for both of us. It all started more than a month ago, when we got a perticular mail. As soon as we read it, we jumped into the air screaming: »We are invited to the Essence & Catrice event!!!!!!« Let's just say the state we were in at the time was euphoric at the least. The next month was probably the longest month in our life and the questions that were raised during that time made the waiting period even more unbearable. What will it be like? Who else is invited? How will we get there? Will we even have time to attend? And the most important question of all: What will we wear?

REVIEW: Coloricon blusher (Berry Shimmer)

Hello lovelies :)
I got this blush in september and used it quite a lot in the previous month :) I really like this colour, it is something quite special in my blush collection (consisting mostly of orange, coral and peach blushes). Today I decided to review it :D

This blush comes in a thin, black plastic packaging with a transparent lid. As with all of the Wet'n'Wild packaging, it is not the best looking or feeling, but it is sturdy enough for traveling and it gets it's job done. You get 4,0g/0.14oz of product. It also comes with a thin brush. The brush is nice for picking up product, but absolute crap for blending it. I do not advise you to use it, but it might be good for touch ups :D

The blush is a nice warm berry colour with a bit of tiny gold shimmer in it. The shimmer does not transfer to the face, but the blush itself is really pigmented. It does kick up quite a bit of dust in the pan, when you put your brush in it to pick up the product. The blush did fade on me a bit troughout the day, but it did not appear patchy. It also blended really nicely.

All in all I really like this blush :) You can get it at Destination pretty for 4,53 € (there are also other colours available).

Did you try any of Wet'n'Wild blushes?
Hope you enjoyed this post :D
Have a nice day :)

Autumn Tag

Hello lovelies :D
Autumn is here and we decided to do the Autumn tag :D We saw this tag on Barbara's blog :)

1. Ok, we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero...?
Sadly we do not have any of these here in Slovenia, if we would I would be probably there every day drinking everything with caramel flavour in it :P
We don't have them here, but it would be anything with caramel, salted caramel, white chocollate...or still good old capucino :)

2. Accessories - what do you opt for scarf, boots or gloves?
Definetly scarf, I love scarves more than anything :D
Scarf always!

3. Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?
Same as every season, hard rock and punk, aldough I do not limit myself too much when it comes to music... If the song is good, than it is good no matter what genre it is. It just so happens that I like mosty punk and rock.
It's rock no matter what time fo the year it is :D

4. Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
I can not remember the last time I wore perfume (prom maybe?). I am not a big perfume person, so I do not really have a perfume scent for Autumn...
DKNY - Be delicious

5. Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
Anything vanilla or cinammon scented :D
Same as Tjaša + pumpkin and chocolate scents.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
Leaves turning orange, yellow and red. I think nature is really at it's best in this time of the year :)
I love rain and cozzy evenings insideand also the nature is beautifull when it's changing.

7. Favourite makeup look?
Violet, gold, brown and green eyeshadows paired with plum or nude lipsticks :D
Brown, gold, green, rosegold shadows, plumy or dark red lips and plumy blush.

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
College hahaha :) no but really, I love college, learning new stuff and seeing all the good friends of mine :D
Yes we are weirdos...i love college to, i love that i have something to do that makes me happy every single morning...it's not hard for me to get up for college. And also i can't wait to start burning candles and bake some goodies and chestnutts :D

Hope you liked this post :) Feel free to do this tag and post the link to it in the comments, we would like to read it :)
Have a nice day ;)

REVIEW: Wet'n'Wild Walking on Eggshells coloricon trio

Hello lovelies :)
Today I decided to review one of the palettes I always use when I am in a hurry in the morning :) I have heard soo many good things about this trio and I finally decided to get it. I think there is no need to say that this trio ir really good for it's price. Let me explain how and why :D

This palette comes in a plastic black packaging with the transparent lid. It is not the best looking packaging and not the sturdiest, but I did some traveling with it and it did not break. It is travel friendly aldough it does look and feel a bit cheap. You get 3,5g/0.12oz of product all together (three eyeshadows).

All the eyeshadows are shimmery. They are buttery and very pigmented and blend really nicely. The browbone shade is a bit sheer, but it can be packed on to make it more intense. There is a bit of fallout (mostly shimmer) with all of the shades. These shades crease on me after 8 hours, which is really impressive  considering every eyeshadow creases on me sooner or later (I call that: 'the curse of the mad oily lids')

All in all I really like this palette. It is available on Destination pretty for 4,53 € which I think is a really good price for that kind of quality. You can see how they look and perform on the lids in my fall inspired FOTD post (click here).

Did you try any of the coloricon trios?
Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have a nice day :)

FOTD: Simple fall look

Hello lovelies :)
How are you :) ? I finally decided to do another face of the day :) I love doing these things, but it never looks as good on the pictures as it does in person. I need to take soo many pictures and even than the ones that are good I do not feel like they are good enough. I am not even kidding, I took around a 100 pictures just for this look (I suck at selfies, what can I say...) and only these turned out semi ok :P Well I hope you like it anyway :)

EYES:
*Essence I <3 stage primer
*Wet'n'Wild walking on eggshells
*Essence longlasting eye pencil (01 black fever & 15 bling bling)
*Eessence I <3 extreme crazy volume mascara

SKIN:
*Catrice prime and fine healthy look primer
*Essence stay all day concealer (20 soft beige)
*Catrice camouflage cream (010 ivory)
*Catrice Nude illusion make up (020 rose ivory)
*Catrice colour correcting mattifying powder (010 delicate blossom)
*Catrice illuminating blush (030 Kiss me Ken)

LIPS:
*Essence lipliner (13 transparent)
*Wet'n'Wild - 908C Sugar Plum Fairy

EYEBROWS:
*Catrice - Lash // Brow designer

I used the crease shade from walking on eggshells palette and applied it to the inner third and outer third of my eyelid.

After that I applied the eyelid shade from the same palette on the middle of the lid. I used the crease colour in the crease and blended it up and out. After that I highlightet my browbone with the browbone shade.

To finish the look I applied mascara to my top lashes, tightlined my upper waterline with Essence longlasting eyepencil in black fever and applied the eyepencil in bling bling on my lower waterline.

And here is my whole face :D

What do you think? Do you like it? Would you wear something like this or is it too much (or too little) to wear everyday?
Hope you enjoyed reading :)
Have a nice day ;)

REVIEW: NYX blush (Taupe)

Hello lovelies :)
I do not contour much, but if I do I use this little guy. I have heard soo many good things about this blush, soo many people liked it and used it and I decided to get it (because you never know when you need it, right?). Aldough I got it way back at the beginning of August I did not feel comfortable writing a review untill now, since I did not feel like I tested it enough. Well finally I have and here is what I think about it :)

Product comes in a black plastic packaging with a transparent lid. At the back of the packaging is the name of the blush written an the ingredients. On the lid is written NYX Powder Blush in black lettering. You get 4g / 0.14oz. of product.

The shade is cool taupe with grey undertones to it and I think it is especially good to use on a pale skin with neutral or cool undertones. It also works for mediun warm skin tones too. This shade is exclusively for contouring, it is not ment for bronzing or anything else because of its cool undertone. The pigmentation is medium to sheer (depending on your skin tone), but that is a good thing. It can be build up nicely and it does not look patchy on the skin. It was still visible on my face at the end of the day, but it did fade a bit (hovewer it did fade nicely, without any patchyness).

All in all I like this product and I can see why soo many people like it :)

What do you think? Do you contour or not?
I usually do not since I do not think it is neccesarry to have a contoured face when in school or at work.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have a nice day ;)

NOTD: Green gradient with glitter

Hello lovelies
I have some new NOTD for you today :) Finaly!!! Aldough the nail on my middle finger is stil a bit shorter than my other nails… Well I just could not wait any longer. I decided to create some more gradient nail art, this time using green :) Here is what I used and how I did it :)

Essence (yes we pop) - 02 grab this hype
essence - 179 roller coaster
essence - 183 be my lucky star
essence - 103 space queen

First I applied two coats of grab this hype on my nails. After the nailpolish was fully dried I mixed grab this hype and roller coaster and applied with with a spondge tip aplicator on the nail bed. I used my lucky star on the top of the mixed colour, again applying it with the spondge tip applicator. After everything was nice and dried I topped everything with space queen.

What do you think of this nail art (If you can call it art… haha :P)? Do you like to wear green nail polish?
I hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have a nice day ;)

REVIEW: Essence soo glow highlighter

Hello lovelies :)
How are you all been doing lately? I just started the finall year of college and lost my mojo in the first two days... it will be a long year I tell you... sigh. But that is not what I wanted to talk to you about today :) I decided to share my thoughts on one of the new products in the Essence line called soo glow! highlighter. This is my first experience with a cream to powder formula. Here are my thoughts on it :)

The highlighter comes in a transparent plastic packaging, there is 4g of product. It comes in two shades and the shade that I got is called 10 Look on the bright side. The shade looks very pale, with yellow undertones to it in the pan. It does not look as yellow when applied on the skin and it contains some tiny gold shimmer. It is nicely visible in person, but not overpowering.

The formula is quite interesting. It is a cream, but when you apply it, it turns into a powder finish instantly. It can be applied with a brush or finger. I find it a bit hard to blend out, because it turns to powder as soon as the product touches the skin, but it is not such big of a deal. Highlighter does not apply streaky and it was still visible on me after the whole day, aldough it did loose some of its intensity.

All in all I really like this highlighter and if you are in need of one I recommend it :)

What do you think? Do you use highlighter every day or just on speciall occasions, if at all?
Hope you enjoyed this post :)
Have a nice day :)
